 Jefferson Mental Health Services provides the following services

CRISIS, CASE MANAGEMENT & EMERGENCY SERVICES:

Assists individuals in applying for and receiving appropriate mental health and behavioral health services depending on the level of need. Crisis services are available 24/7. Services include assessment, crisis intervention, case management and access to treatment facilities and programs. JMHS provides 24/7 Designated Mental Health Professionals, who are licensed mental health staff, to provide the community with evaluation and emergency access to treatment.

ADULT OUTPATIENT TREATMENT:

Treatment services for adults include individual treatment, group treatment, day treatment and case management services. Services for adults with co-occurring disorders – such as substance abuse – are also available. Psychological Testing Services are available.

OLDER ADULT SPECIALIZED TREATMENT SERVICES:

Older Adult services are provided by Mental Health Specialists trained to address the special mental health needs of our Elders in our communities.

CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS TREATMENT SERVICES:

Through the generous support of the citizens of Jefferson County, JMHS provides treatment services for those Adults struggling with mental health and substance use issues. The program is coordinated with Safe Harbor Recovery Center to provide evidence-based, state of the art services to the communities of East Jefferson County.

PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES:

JMHS’ Medical Team consists of staff trained to care for the needs of both adults and children. The team includes MD Psychiatrist, ARNP, RN, LPN and Medical Assistant staff with extensive experience in working with individuals with psychiatric illness. Medication evaluation and management services are available. Consultation with Primary Care Providers is provided.

CHILD/YOUTH/FAMILY SERVICES:

The unique needs of children and their families are met through this program, which provides out-patient individual and group treatment; case management; and family, wraparound, and day treatment services delivered by or under the supervision of Child Mental Health Specialists. Psychological Testing Services are available.

HARBOR HOUSE

Day Support Services are available to individuals with chronic and persistent behavioral health needs or mental health needs who meet the service’s entry criteria.

Day Support provides a range of life skills training designed to assist an individual in the acquisition of skills, retention of functioning, or improvement in functioning, appropriate socialization, adaptive coping skills.

Harbor House Day Treatment/Support provides a range of integrated and varied life skills to promote improved or restored functioning including

  • Training in basic living and social skills,
  • Supported work and preparation for work,
  • Vocational Rehabilitation, Educational, Pre-Vocational Skills
  • Day Activities
  • Counseling and Psychotherapies.

Day Support is provided under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional
Program Staff are available 5 hours per day, 5 days per week to provide support services
Additional Peer Support is available daily Mon-Fri by appointment.
Case Management is available daily Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm
Crisis Services are available 24/7.

Additional needs are met in individual and group therapy offerings.
Services occur in an accessible environment.

 

SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING SERVICES:

Through the generous funding and support of the citizens of Jefferson County, and in coordination with High School based medical clinics, JMHS provides Mental Health Counselors in all 3 East Jefferson County Schools from 4th grade through High School to provide on-site services and assistance in our schools.

MOST INSURANCE PLANS ARE ACCEPTED.
